james' birthday started with a special breakfast made by james & doug
after a big boy haircut & connor's nap, we went ice skating - james' first time on skates - he did a fantastic job!
connor was a wonderful younger brother, watching james skate & didn't make a peep for almost 45 minutes
james tried to stand up...
safety first: no matter how dorky you look with your helmet over your winter hat
connor's little cheeks & nose were bright red - it was colder inside the rink than outside!
we were tight for time, so we had a picnic lunch in the car on the way home
brothers holding hands...
after they napped, off to applebee's for a birthday dinner!
getting a birthday phone call from uncle john! very serious business.
again: connor being a good sport about the whole day being about james

the firefighter kit was a big hit
and finished the day reading new birthday books from auntie patti
